SwissTap, the Swiss tap dance federation, was founded in 1992 by 25 tap dance teachers. Its aim is to raise awareness, promote and develop tap dancing in Switzerland as well as encourage exchanges between dancers. SwissTap is committed to the healthy practice of dance, to the continuing education of Swiss teachers and to collaborate with organizations and institutions pursuing similar goals on national level and beyond.
SwissTap organizes the Swiss Tap Dance Championships every year, as well as workshops, shows and other events related to tap dancing.
